Website of the Week #5
Tuesday, November 7, 2006, 05:27 AM
Website of the Week returns once again to bring you awesomeness from the realms of the Intarweb.

http://oc.ormgas.com

Yes, that is spelled correctly. Get your mind out of the gutter.
Actually, ormgas means "snake gas" in Dutch or something. Look on the site FAQ.

Anyway, remember OverClocked Remix, the previous Website of the Week? Well, this website lets you stream OCRemixes straight off the site, so you don't have to download 1500 songs or find each remix.

What's even better is that the design of this site is amazing. If you register, you can vote on songs. The more songs you vote on, the more site features you unlock. It tracks your votes on each song. It also keeps a running tally of the highest voters, and the highest rated songs, a feature that OCR does not have.

If you like a song that's playing on the stream, just hop on over to the home page of Ormgas and click the little download button next to it (if you're logged in). Bingo, you download the song without having to traverse OCR to find it.

There's even an IRC channel with a Perl-programmed chat bot that gives hilarious responses.

So, what do you have to lose? Check out oc.ormgas.com NOW.

Also, Twilight Princess.

Freaking Computer
Monday, October 30, 2006, 04:11 AM
So, I come home after church to find that my computer is tarding out again. I go to reseat the processor, but I find that my heatsink is caked with dust. So, I buy some compressed air and clean out my whole computer. But, when I replace the heatsink, my processor temps are still nuts. So I decide to reapply the thermal paste with more Arctic Silver 5 I have lying around. But, when I go to put the heatsink back, the plastic bits that are supposed to snap into place SNAP OFF. Keep in mind I haven't been able to use my computer for hours now and I need to do homework. So, I'm really pissed. I have my computer lying on its side right now so that the heatsink doesn't fall off. At least it runs, and my temps are stabilizing at 68C. That sucks. So, I have three options. Try to fix the plastic part (replacements? doubt it), buy a new heatsink, or get a new processor. A new processor would be more expensive, but I'm sick and tired of this gay processor overheating constantly. But my chipset is Intel 915, I believe. So, that limits my options.

This sucks.

The Plans
Saturday, October 28, 2006, 12:51 AM
First off, homecoming dance tonight. Should be fun, I hope.

But, tomorrow is the big day.
Here's our tentative plan:

1. Service project in Monrovia early morning.
2. At 10:00, we leave.
3. Then, we go do stuff, maybe driving around, maybe go to Terrence's house.
4. Around 1:00, food.
5. General hanging-out-ness.

Call me if you want more details.

This important public service announcement has been brought to you by Fubar.

What a shitty week
Thursday, October 26, 2006, 02:07 AM
In the last two weeks or so, barely anything has gone as planned. It sucks ass. I had to get up uber-early to go to a blood test this morning and it made me late for school because we waited around in the freaking waiting room for like 3 hours. Then, after school, I go to the DMV to get a permit. And then I fail the permit test. By one question. Jesus freakin' Christ. So, I have to wait another week before I can take it again. What a waste of time. But wait, there's more!

I have to get up early again tomorrow.
To take another freaking blood test.
On my birthday.

Is nothing sacred?
